Contributor Biographies

  • Rev. Dr. Joel R. Beeke: Dr. Beeke is President and Professor of Systematic Theology and Homiletics at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, a pastor of the Heritage Netherlands Reformed Congregation, editor of Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth, Editorial Director of Reformation Heritage Books, President of Inheritance Publishers, and Vice President of the Dutch Reformed Translation Society, all in Grand Rapids, Mich. He has written, coauthored, or edited over 60 books and contributed fifteen hundred articles to Reformed books, journals, periodicals, and encyclopedias.
  • Rev. Michael G. Brown: Michael G. Brown (MA and M.Div, Westminster Seminary California) is pastor of Christ United Reformed Church in Santee, CA. He is the author of numerous popular and academic articles and has contributed to several books.
  • Rev. Dr. Iain D. Campbell: Dr. Campbell is a native of the Isle of Lewis in northwest Scotland. He is the pastor of Point Free Church (Free Church of Scotland). Dr. Campbell has written may books and articles, and also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Church History at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, PA.
  • Rev. Dr. Sinclair Ferguson: Dr. Ferguson, one of the most respected and beloved preachers in the English speaking world, serves as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Columbia, South Carolina, and as Distinguished Visiting Professor of Systematic Theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. He has authored over twenty books and hundreds of articles, both scholarly and popular.
  • Rev. Dr. John V. Fesko: J.V. Fesko is Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology at Westminster Seminary California. He was a pastor for over ten years, during which time he preached or taught through forty books of the Bible. Dr. Fesko is the author of a number of books, scholarly essays, and popular pieces.
  • Rev. Dr. David W. Hall: Dr. Hall is pastor of the historic Midway Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Powder Springs, Georgia. He is the author or editor of over twenty books and numerous scholarly and popular articles. He is the general editor of the Calvin 500 Series published by P&R Publishing, and the convener of the annual Reformation Worship Conference.
  • Rev. Dr. Terry L. Johnson: Rev. Johnson is the minister at Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia where he has served since 1987. Terry is the author/compiler of the Trinity Psalter and Leading in Worship, and author of The Case for Traditional Protestantism, Reformed Worship, and the trilogy, When Grace Comes Home, When Grace Transforms, and When Grace Comes Alive.
  • Rev. Dr. Malcolm Maclean: Rev. Dr. Malcolm Maclean is the pastor of Greyfriars Free Church of Scotland in Inverness, Great Britain, where he lives with his wife, Katie. He is the editor of the denomination's magazine entitled The Record. He has degrees from the Free Church of Scotland College (Edinburgh), the Highland Theological College (Dingwall, Scotland), and Reformed Theolological Seminary (D.Min) in Jackson, Mississippi. Prior to entering the ministry, he was Managing Editor of Christian Focus Publications and remains the editor of its Mentor imprint. He has had one book published on The Lord's Supper and is due to have a devotional treatment of the Song of Solomon published in the near future (both by Christian Focus). His study interests are Reformed Theology, particularly Scottish Reformed Theology, and the history of the church in the Scottish Highlands. In addition, he enjoys reading biographies and travelling.
  • Rev. Dr. David B. McWilliams: Dr. McWilliams is Senior Minister of Covenant Presbyterian Church where he has served for twenty two years. A former Associate Professor of Systematic Theology on the faculty of Westminster Theological Seminary (Dallas) he continues to teach Systematic Theology at Redeemer Theological Seminary. He is devoted to Christ centered, expository preaching. The author of numerous articles he has also published, Galatians, A Mentor Commentary.
  • Rev. Dr. Jon D. Payne: Pastor Payne has served as the minister of Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Douglasville, Georgia since 2003. He teaches homiletics as a Visiting Lecturer of Practical Theology at Reformed Theological Seminary in Atlanta. Payne has written numerous articles and two books, including John Owen On The Lord’s Supper (Edinburgh: Banner of Truth, 2004) and In The Splendor of Holiness: Rediscovering the Beauty of Reformed Worship for the 21st Century (White Hall: Tolle Lege Press, 2008). He is the series editor for the Lectio Continua Expository Commentary on the New Testament.
  • Dr. Richard D. Phillips: Dr. Phillips serves as senior minister of Second Presbyterian Church in downtown Greenville, SC. Previously, he pastored in Coral Springs, FL and Philadelphia, PA. Rick was raised in an Army family and grew up on posts around America. During his own time in the Army, Rick was active in Officer's Christian Fellowship and led Bible studies for students. Through these experiences, Rick and his wife concluded that God was calling him into a full-time pulpit ministry, so they left the Army and embarked on fulfilling God's call to the ordained ministry. Rick frequently speaks at conferences on the Bible and theology and is active in overseas missions, especially in East Africa. In addition to his ministry duties, Rick likes to spend time with his wife and five children.
  • Rev. Dr. Harry L. Reeder III: Dr. Harry Reeder is Senior Pastor of Briarwood Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Birmingham, Alabama. He has served three churches over the past 35 years in Florida, North Carolina and Alabama. Dr. Reeder is the author of several books and articles and is a frequent contributor to Table Talk magazine. He is passionate about the ministry of church revitalization and authored, From Embers to a Flame: How God Can Revitalize Your Church. He has led Embers Conferences all around the world including South Africa, Kenya, Australia, Uganda, and South Korea.
  • Rev. Dr. Kim Riddlebarger: Kim Riddlebarger is senior pastor of Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, California (URCNA), co-host of the popular radio-internetbroadcast the White Horse Inn, and is the author of two books: A Case for Amillennialism (Baker 2003), and The Man of Sin (Baker 2006). Kim is a regular contributor to Modern Reformation and Tabletalk magazines, and has also served as visiting professor of systematic theology at Westminster Seminary California.
  • David T.A. Strain: Rev. David TA Strain is currently the senior pastor of Main Street Presbyterian Church, Columbus, MS, and previously served as the pastor of London City Presbyterian Church, (the Free Church of Scotland congregation in central London, England). He holds degrees from the University of Dundee, the University of Glasgow, and the Free Church of Scotland College, Edinburgh. David has contributed articles to the Scottish Bulletin of Evangelical Theology and Reformation 21.
